very cool sound

I often use odd time sigs...7/8 being amonst my favorites as it always throws the listener for a loop

remember you can make old faithful 4/4 more interesting as well...i sometimes play 3 bars of 4/4 for verse parts making it kinda 12/4 in a way.... anyways keep experimenting

if you like hearing tunes with odd timing check out Protest the hero... hard as fuck and you'll hear many fucked timings (i've seen em live a few times now.. they kick ass) i also use their irffs in my warm ups
